from 711 reviewsI really thought the whole point of this book was to get our thoughts out. I thought it was more of a journal than an actual book. I didn't think I would have to go 30 pages between each section where I could get write something for two lines.
I never realized that other people had created my subconscious view of myself and the world, which was why I could never manage to accept who I am. After carefully reading this slim volume, I feel like the chains of self doubt have been lifted from me. Ridiculously simple but life changing. Why didn’t anyone tell me this before?
This must read book is easy to understand and can help you stop the overwhelm. I’m happy I found this book. For the first time in a long time, I can actually quiet my mind and enjoy the peace.
I loved the book! Jacqui's explanations of our minds (from the "RAM" of current/newer experiences up to the "cloud storage" of long-ago situations) made a lot of sense, and in the case studies she mentioned with her clients, I felt (still feel) like each one sometimes.
Very easy-to-use real life tools. I will be gifting this book to my grown children, siblings and friends.
Thank you so much for really diving into the mind and helping my daughter to better understand how to process her emotions and anxiety. She is really responding to the book, which we are reading together, and she is writing in the journal as well, which really helps her sort out and understand what she's reading on a personal level. We actually use the matching bracelets for when she feels anxiety and we're not together, she can tap on the bracelet and know I'm on the other side. The whole experience with the books has been a wonderful journey that we are grateful to be on.
I have read a lot of books on the subject of depression and anxiety. This was a new perspective and I've found it helpful already. I plan to read it through again and take notes this time.
This book has helped me better than any other! It actually teaches you how to think rather than just saying affirmations. It explains the science of your brain and your subconscious. So happy I found it!
Never heard of the thought process that the book explains. It’s a very interesting and deep concept. I would recommended to anyone struggling with life. Helps train your mind to think positive.
